A superb holiday home in the beautiful north west highlands of Scotland, available for lets....dogs and children most welcome!
The restful tranquillity of the west coast is exemplified in the remote Highland village of Drumbeg. This beautifully maintained bungalow was built in the late 1990's as a retreat for our artist father and family. It is thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated with his and other artists' work. The large picture window in the lounge has an inspiring outlook to the sea and coastal hillside. There is a pretty garden, tended by Marion McLeod of Polchaple Garden Nursery (near Drumbeg), where visitors can sit out and enjoy the peaceful scenic surroundings.
Travelling on the single track road to Drumbeg is like taking a step back in time and the local area offers endless pursuits for all the family. The impressive Assynt mountains offer opportunities for walking and climbing, there are also National Nature Reserves, a World GeoPark, pottery workshops, beautiful beaches, boat trips, island hopping and bird watching. An award winning shop, an excellent hotel/pub and a delightful tearoom are a few minutes walk away. Guided fishing and shooting can be arranged with Callum Miller (Drumbeg 01571 833 269).
